Since I became the proud owner of a fine Johnson Viking II I have become well acquianted with its keying anomalies. After experiementing with different circuit, cathode keying filters and conversion to grid block keying I have found nothing to round off the attack/decay of the keying as nicely as the Robert Shrader (W6BNB) cathode filter. Even my results of converting the Viking II to grid block keying was unremarkable. I am interested in what other Viking II users may have done that has yielded success in improvement of the keyed waveform and click elimination? Thanks and ZUT!
